Behind the hymn
THERE aren’t too many modern hymns which deal with Scripture and focus our attention on the written Word. Perhaps there never have been, but certainly a recurrent theme among observers of today’s church scene is how far we’ve strayed from our ancestors’ immersion in the Bible, in both public and private devotions.
