The most commonly asked questions are below. If you can't find what you're looking for, or want to make a comment about the service, why not send an email to thesheepdip.co.uk? Our contact us page has all the details
What will you offer?
Articles for use in your church magazine. All will be Christian and written by Christians.
What denomination bias do you have?
Thesheepdip.co.uk will have no denominational ties. However, the majority of contributors are Free Church-based.
Do you have a statement of faith?
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Why thesheepdip.co.uk?
Jesus said he was the good shepherd, and we are like sheep. Thesheepdip.co.uk offers a selection of articles - like a lucky dip - for your church newsletters. So we are offering a dip for sheep, hence the title. Yeah, it is a bit like a clue in 3-2-1.
Who is behind thesheedip.co.uk
Phil Creighton is the site’s owner. Formerly deputy editor of The Baptist Times (www.baptisttimes.co.uk), he is author of How To Be Heard in a Noisy World, a guide to church publicity in the 21st century (published by Authentic Media).
How do we pay for articles?
We will use Click and Buy, offering instant downloads quickly and simply. We’re using them because they make it easy to purchase low-cost items over the Internet
I want to see some samples. Where are they?
Sample articles are available for you to inspect and use in your church magazines from the sample catalogue page. The latest edition is available from the catalogue page.
An article we were going to use from last month’s edition has gone. Is there any way we can obtain it?
Articles will be available to download for a whole year. There may be occasions when we might need to take an article down, but the vast majority of material will be there for you to buy for 12 months. However, we want churches to use up-to-date fresh articles in their newsletters, so go to the most recent update first!
I’ve lost access to my yearly subscription - where has it gone?
You haven’t bookmarked your unique subscription link in your webbrowser.
- log in to your Click and Buy account
- From the tabbed menu choices on the screen, choose 'TRANSACTIONS' (it's the second one along, after Account Home)
- A new menu appears on the left hand side - click on 'OPEN SESSIONS'
- You should now see a link to your thesheepdip.co.uk subscription. Please click on that, and you should be redirected to your personal subscription.
- Bookmark this page, or add to favourites, depending on which internet browser you are using (Firefox for bookmarks, Explorer for add to favourites)
I have a monthly/yearly subscription and I’ve been charged to download another article. How can this happen?
Your subscription only allows you access to articles from the date your subscription starts - if you bought on August 25, then you won’t be able to access articles from before August 1. However, it’s possible that you have probably accessed the current articles without using your paid-for subscription, if this is the case, please contact the shepherd, including your Click and Buy number.
This still doesn’t answer any of my questions
